Ohio State continues to stockpile a treasure trove of wide receiver talent on its roster and the Buckeyes have now landed a commitment from the nation’s top rising junior pass catcher in Jeremiah Smith Jr.
The five-star class of 2024 prospect out of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna had long been considered an Ohio State lean but had extended his recruiting process through the football season to make a round of visits to many of his top contenders.
Alabama, Florida, Miami (FL), and Notre Dame were just some of the top contenders for Smith, who just recently led Chaminade-Madonna to a state championship.
Smith is commitment No. 4 so far for Ohio State in the 2024 recruiting class. Pairing a receiver talent like Smith with a quarterback talent like Dylan Raiola gives the Buckeyes a dynamic one-two punch with both players being ranked as the top junior prospects at their respective positions.
