When Ole Miss freshman cornerback Davison Igbinosun announced his transfer to Ohio State, he immediately made the Buckeyes deeper and more experienced in the secondary.
Igbinosun enrolled early as a true freshman in 2022 and ended up winning a starting job for head coach Lane Kiffin by the season opener. He held onto the job for nine games before giving way to fifth-year senior Miles Battle for three games. Call it hitting the Freshman Wall, if you like. Igbinosun was back in the starting lineup for the Rebels’ bowl game against Texas Tech.
