COLUMBUS – Ohio State’s first scrimmage is in the books as Ryan Day’s team took to the indoor fields of the WHAC on Saturday morning to go through 20 periods of action in front of media, former players and recruits.
It is easy to get ahead of yourself and forget that this is only practice number six for the team during the spring practice period. Pads only were put on by players last week and this is not going to be the last scrimmage of the spring as the team works on getting better before the summer arrives and before you know it, fall practice will start.
With many of the top players taking it easy for spring ball after offseason procedures and other decisions, it is a chance for younger players to make a name for themselves as they look to either climb the depth chart or in some cases, just make the depth chart.
In this edition of Buckeyes Tomorrow Morning, we take a look at some of the players who made big strides during the scrimmage. Who was noticed and more importantly why? Will these moves help thrust these players up the depth chart? Only time will tell on that front.
Join fill-in host Kevin Noon who is joined by Tony Gerdeman for all of the action from the spring scrimmage, don’t miss a single thing.
