Four-star Texas running back James Peoples has announced his commitment to Ohio State.
Peoples (5-10 192) committed to the Buckeyes over offers from Alabama, Texas, USC, Miami, Tennessee, and many others.
The nation’s No. 5 running back and No. 69 player overall visited Ohio State unofficially this weekend and saw everything he needed to see to convince himself he wanted to be a Buckeye.
Peoples attends Veterans Memorial High School in San Antonio, Texas where he rushed for 1,904 yards and 28 touchdowns last year as a junior. He earned First-Team All-State honors for his performance.
Ohio State now has two skill players as part of the 2024 class. Peoples joins Florida wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who is a 5-star prospect and the No. 2 player overall in the class.
The Buckeyes are expected to sign two running backs in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Peoples definitely gives Ohio State a great start. The Buckeyes have also offered 3-star Pickerington North, Ohio tailback Sam Williams-Dixon, who most expect to end up at OSU.
Buckeye Huddle will have more on this commitment moving forward.
