Four-star running back Jordan Lyle has committed to Ohio State.
Lyle tweeted the news early Saturday evening.
Lyle (6-0 190) attends St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is the same school that sent both Joey and Nick Bosa to Ohio State.
The rankings are all over the board right now for Lyle. For instance, On3 has him ranked as the No. 5 running back in the 2024 class and the No. 62 player overall. Rivals, however, has him the No. 49 running back and No. 99 player on Florida. He is ranked the No. 27 running back in the nation per the 247Sports Composite.
Lyle visited OSU last month during spring practice. He committed to Ohio State over offers from Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, USC, and many others.
As a junior, Lyle rushed for 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns on just 91 attempts.
The Buckeyes now have three running backs committed, as Lyle joins four-star San Antonio prospect James Peoples and three-star Ohio “athlete” Sam Williams-Dixon.
Buckeye Huddle will have more on this commitment in the coming days.
