The state of Ohio will always form the foundation of any Ohio State recruiting class, but the Buckeyes always seem to pull some of their most talented players out of the south each year as well.
So who will be the next future Ohio State stars from Florida, Georgia, and elsewhere in the south?
Kevin Noon of BuckeyeHuddle.com has met with more than two dozen of the south’s top players as part of the annual Southern Swing trip. He joins host Tom Orr to discuss some of the players from his trip including:
- Jeremiah Smith: the 5-star wide receiver is already committed to Ohio State, but is still planning visits to other schools. How concerned should Buckeye fans be?
- Jojo Trader: will be an impact player at the next level, whether at wide receiver or cornerback, but will that happen in Columbus?
- Malachi Toney: an early look at a 2026 prospect who could be another great Buckeye wide receiver out of the Sunshine State
- Jayden Jackson: Will he give Larry Johnson another big body on the inside of the defensive line?
