Ohio State got a huge boost to the future of their defense on Monday when West Orange (NJ) Seton Hall Prep four-star safety Jaylen McClain pledged to the Scarlet and Gray.
The Buckeyes beat out Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, Penn State, home state Rutgers, and about 30 others who offered the 6-foot, 185-pounder throughout the recruitment process.
“What made Ohio State the pick for me was the standard that they live by,” McClain told Buckeye Huddle upon returning home from his official visit this past weekend. “The culture, the tradition, and what they develop and produce.”
