Ohio State hosted not one, but two five-star safety prospects over the weekend for official visits. Long time priority target, Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco product Peyton Woodyard, made yet another trip to Columbus for the huge visit weekend.
While Woodyard is plenty familiar with things around Ohio State, he still enjoyed his trip and and was able to have a couple of new experiences on the visit.
“My family and I really enjoyed being with the entire staff this weekend and getting to know them more and their families,” Woodyard told BuckeyeHuddle.com. “It was also great to see and talk with Bosco Alumni Kourt Williams. He gave me a lot of great insight on the program. I also liked meeting with the Dean of the Fisher business school. That was really cool.”
Woodyard has been committed to Georgia since the winter time, but has made trips to a few schools, including Alabama and USC, as well as two trips to Ohio State.
“I’ve been going into these OV’s with an open mind because of the great relationships I have with the coaches,” he started. “They have all been great to my family and I. I’m grateful for the relationships that have been formed and grown over the last couple years.”
But Woodyard remains a member of the Bulldogs’ 2024 recruiting class with one more official visit coming up.
“I’ll be heading out to Alabama this weekend,” he said. “I don’t have any immediate plans right now except for the visit to Alabama this weekend. I’m still committed to Georgia.”
Ohio State will host Woodyard’s teammate at Bosco, four-star linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, this coming weekend for his official visit.
