Big news for the Buckeyes with the commitment of class of 2026 wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.
He took part in Ohio State’s Friday recruiting event and while the plan was not to commit, the situation just proved right for the Cincinnati Withrow star to pull the plug.
The 6-foot-5, 185-pounder is the son of the late Chris Henry of NFL fame and with this, the Buckeyes have their first commit for the class of 2026.
“I’m committed to Ohio State,” Henry Jr. said after the event ended.
What made now the right time?
“It just felt like a great day,” Henry Jr. said. “Being here, (I) brought my uncle here to see because he was the one telling me to slow down. I was ready.”
Henry Jr. admitted there was no point in slowing things down and knowing where he wanted to go, why not make it official?
“It’s just hard to turn down,” Henry said.
