BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Compared to a year ago, the Buckeyes will begin their season today as healthy as they’ve been for a game in a long time.
No members of the Ohio State two-deep are listed in this week’s injury report, which has just been released.
The list of Buckeyes who are out for today’s game includes two true freshmen, a redshirt freshman, a former captain, and four walk-ons.
There are no players listed as questionable.
As expected, senior linebacker Kourt Williams is out. He injured his knee in camp and will be out long term. Williams missed last year with a shoulder injury.
Williams moved from safety to linebacker prior to the start of fall camp.
Redshirt freshman receiver Kyion Grayes is also out today with an undisclosed injury. He played in two games last year, catching one pass for two yards.
Freshman safety Jayden Bonsu and freshman defensive tackle Will Smith, Jr. are both out with undisclosed injuries. Smith was seen in a walking boot and using crutches following Wednesday’s practice.
Redshirt freshman running back TC Caffey, redshirt sophomore tight end Zak Herbstreit, and junior receivers Joop Mitchell and Reis Stocksdale are also out.
Ten true freshmen are listed on the travel roster for the Buckeyes, including a walk-on. Those players are: receivers Brandon Inniss, Carnell Tate, and Noah Rogers, quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, tight end Jelani Thurman, defensive end Arvell Reese, cornerback Jermaine Mathews, safety Malik Hartford, walk-on punter Joe McGuire, and offensive lineman Luke Montgomery.
Here is the full availability report ahead of Ohio State’s 3:30 pm kickoff against Indiana on CBS. The full travel roster can be found here.
