Ohio State was a major player for Washington (OK) 2025 tight end Nate Roberts before his commitment to Notre Dame back on June 17. Roberts was also a top target on the tight ends board for Keenan Bailey in 2025, and it was disappointing to the Buckeyes when the nation’s second-ranked tight end picked the Fighting Irish so early in the process.
The Buckeyes continued plugging away in building their relationship with Roberts, even after he pledged to Notre Dame, and it paid off, as Roberts decided to decommit from Marcus Freeman’s program and re-open his recruitment back in August.
