COLUMBUS — Ohio State senior middle linebacker Tommy Eichenberg is listed as questionable for today’s game against Minnesota, which is also Senior Day for the Buckeyes.
Eichenberg missed last week’s game with an apparent elbow injury. Without him, the Buckeyes went with senior Cody Simon. That could be the case again, though it would be somewhat surprising if Eichenberg doesn’t at least play a few snaps in his last game in Ohio Stadium.
Also listed as questionable is backup quarterback Devin Brown, who has missed a handful of games following an ankle injury. He was cleared to play last week but tweaked his ankle in warmups against MSU. In place of Brown last week, true freshman Lincoln Kienholz got his first action of the year at quarterback.
Redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Mike Hall will not play following an injury he suffered last week. Head coach Ryan Day has not provided an update on Hall, which isn’t usually a great sign. Sources have indicated to Buckeye Huddle, however, that Hall could be back for the Michigan game next week.
Without Hall at nose tackle, the Buckeyes will continue to go with part-time starter Ty Hamilton, who had a very good game last week against Michigan State. The defensive line has also continued to add in young players to the rotation as well, which should continue this week against Minnesota.
