The OHSAA state football championships took place over the weekend, making it a good time to release rankings for the state of Ohio’s 2024 recruiting class.
Ohio State has landed seven prospects from the state of Ohio in the 2024 cycle and all seven find themselves somewhere on this list. Coming in second? Michigan with four Ohio prospects committed at this point.
Other familiar programs found success in Ohio as well in 2024, including Notre Dame and Kentucky with three commitments in the Top 30, and Purdue and West Virginia each grabbing two Top 30 prospects.
For the second time in three years, Penn State lands the state’s top quarterback prospect in Olentangy product Ethan Grunkemeyer.
Our No. 1 prospect should not be a surprise in Springfield cornerback Aaron Scott. The Ohio State commit has been my wire-to-wire top player in Ohio for the class and only cemented that with a big-time playoff run this fall.
