Ohio State junior wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. has been named the winner of the 2023 Fred Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation’s most-outstanding pass catcher.
Harrison has caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. He has scored at least one touchdown in each of his last eight games, and also has eight 100-yard receiving games this season.
Harrison is now the second Buckeye to ever win the award, which dates back 30 years. Terry Glenn won the award in 1995 thanks to his 64 receptions for 1,411 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Harrison is the first Buckeye to ever have two 1,000-yard receiving seasons. As a sophomore in 2022, he finished with 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is also now a two-time First-Team All-American, becoming the first Ohio State wide receiver to ever accomplish that feat as well.
Harrison Jr. is sixth all-time in receiving yards (2,613) at Ohio State, sixth in receptions (155), third in touchdown catches (31) and first in 100-yard games (15).
He is also a 2023 Heisman Trophy finalist.
The Heisman Trophy will be awarded Saturday, December 9.
