Some players draw more attention than others during their recruitment for one reason or another.
Some just take to social media and look for attention. Others have actions that lead to plenty of conversation. And still others just seem to draw attention no matter what they do.
That was not the case when it came to Stafford (Va.) defensive lineman Eric Mensah. The one-time Virginia Tech commit flipped to the Buckeyes in September and that was about the last we heard from him throughout the process.
Now, that is not always a bad thing when you look at the daily effort that it takes to hold on to some recruits. Having a couple of easy ones is never a bad thing.
But don’t sleep on this 6-foot-3, 290-pounder or be lulled to sleep by his three-star rating. The Buckeyes feel as if they found a diamond in the rough and we see exactly what they see.
