The long wait for Ohio State fans is over. The Buckeyes have signed the nation’s number one prospect, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna star Jeremiah Smith.
The generational wide receiver talent committed to Ohio State last December but programs such as Georgia, Florida, Florida State, and Miami (FL), among many others, never gave up the pursuit for the five-star talent.
Smith, while maintaining that he was solid with Ohio State, made several visits over the past year including late trips to Miami and Florida State, giving Buckeye Nation some uneasy moments during his recruitment.
But ultimately the relationship with Brian Hartline and Ryan Day, and the development track record at Ohio State kept him with the Buckeyes and now his Letter of Intent has been signed and sent in to Ohio State.
Below, we break down the big news, what Smith brings to the program, and just how quickly we expect him to make a big impact for the Buckeyes.
