ARLINGTON, Texas — Ohio State All-American junior wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. will not be playing in tonight’s Cotton Bowl against No. 9 Missouri.
The Buckeyes released their availability report for the Cotton Bowl and Harrison was listed as “out.”
Harrison has never actually said that he was opting out of this game, and OSU head coach Ryan Day has never said it either, choosing instead to allow the players to make the announcements themselves if they wanted to.
Harrison was never truly expected to play in this game, however, given his status as a potential Top 5 draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Starting middle linebacker Tommy Eichenberg is also listed as out due to an elbow injury he suffered late in the season.
Also notable is the fact that defensive end JT Tuimoloau is not listed anywhere on the report. Tuimoloau never made an announcement one way or the other on his availability for the Cotton Bowl. He did practice all week long in Dallas, however, seemingly indicating that he would be taking the field with his teammates on Friday.
The full availability report is listed below.
