Ohio State linebacker Steele Chambers is putting his name into the 2024 NFL Draft.

Chambers is a fifth-year senior for the Buckeyes who does still have his COVID year available, but he will forego that and instead prepare for an NFL future.
Chambers led the Buckeyes with 83 tackles this season as a starting Will linebacker. He had a career-high 13 tackles in the November loss at Michigan.
Chambers came to Ohio State as a running back out of Georgia in 2019. He was a 4-star athlete who was also an All-State linebacker. He wanted to begin his career on offense, so he did.
Chambers rushed for 135 yards on 19 attempts as a true freshman that year. As a redshirt freshman in 2020, he rushed for 86 yards on nine attempts.
The Buckeyes moved Chambers to linebacker in 2021 where he provided a spark to the defense, totaling 47 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.
In 2022, he intercepted two more passes while also returning a fumble one yard for a touchdown. He recorded 77 touchdowns with 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks that season as well.
Chambers only had 1.5 tackles for loss this season at Ohio State.
Chambers is not among CBS Sports’ top 15 linebackers in the draft.
