Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams is returning to Ohio State for his senior season.
Williams made the announcement via social media on Wednesday.
Williams was arguably the Buckeyes best defensive linemen all season long. He tied for the team lead with 10 tackles for loss this season. He finished tied for fifth with 53 tackles and was third with 3.0 sacks.
Williams’ decision comes just days after fellow defensive tackle Mike Hall announced that he was entering the 2024 NFL Draft.
Williams came to Ohio State as a 4-star prospect from Manassas, Virginia where he was the No. 18 defensive tackle in the 2021 recruiting class. He burst on the season as a true freshman with 4.5 tackles for loss in the first four games he played in.
Williams finally emerged as a starter this season and was a Third-Team All-Big Ten selection by the conference coaches and a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection by the media.
The return for Tyleik Williams in 2024 is obviously huge for the Buckeyes and isn’t expected to be the final bit of good news for the Ohio State defensive line in the coming days.
Buckeye Huddle will have more on Williams’ return in the coming days.
