This year’s spring game will take place on Saturday April 13 and will “kick off” at 12:00 pm. Parking is free.
The 2024 spring game will be Buckeye fans’ first look at what is expected to be a very promising squad. Double-digit Buckeyes put the NFL off for a year in order to return for this coming season. Included in that number are five First-Team All-Big Ten selections, two Second-Team selections, a Third-Teamer, and three Honorable Mention selections.
Ohio State has also added a handful of high-profile transfers as well, including Alabama safety Caleb Downs, Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, and Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins.
This spring should also feature a quarterback battle between redshirt sophomore Devin Brown and Will Howard, provided Brown is recovered from an injured ankle in December’s Cotton Bowl. Redshirt freshman Lincoln Kienholz will also be available as he looks to show improvement from a tough outing in the Cotton Bowl.
Will Howard won’t be the only new quarterback on the field in April, however, as two true freshmen will also be available. Five-star prospects Air Noland and Julian Sayin are already enrolled and will look to give fans a glimpse of what the future at Ohio State may look like.
The Buckeye defense will also be something to watch with so much talent choosing to return. As always, however, don’t expect each of the starters to play too many snaps.
Still, it’s the Ohio State spring game. Where else would you rather be on a Saturday in mid-April?
