Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Brian Hartline once again has several tremendous options when it comes to filling out his wide receivers room on the recruiting trail. The Buckeyes find themselves in several national battles and they are making progress in one of those battles as Sachse (Texas) star Kaliq Lockett has set his first visit to Ohio State.
The Top 100 prospect was offered back in December by Ohio State and was noticeably excited by the news.
“Man I’m pumped to get this one,” Lockett told BuckeyeHuddle.com at the time. “Ohio state is known for producing big time receivers.”
Now Lockett will have a chance to learn more about the inner workings of the program with an unofficial visit set for March 23rd.
“This is my first time to Columbus let alone Ohio,” he started. “It’s going to be different and I’m excited for it, especially getting to spend time with the coaching staff and develop a relationship with the other coaches (other than Hartline).”
Lockett is one of the nation’s top wide receivers in the 2025 class. He is a consensus Top 100 prospect and is rated as high as No. 11 overall in the nation. As a junior, Lockett had a monster year with 59 receptions for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns.
