The running back and quarterback positions have taken center stage lately in Ohio State recruiting. New offensive coordinator Chip Kelly is beginning to put his finger prints on the Buckeyes’ quarterback recruiting efforts in the 2026 class and new offers are starting to go out.

In the backfield, the Buckeyes are still searching to replace Tony Alford and we’re already seeing some fallout on the recruiting trail, but it’s not all bad as the Buckeyes could be trending in a good direction with a top target even after Alford’s surprising move.
