Ohio State recruiting remained hot on Saturday. While the Buckeyes were hosting several key targets on unofficial visits, four-star Vero Beach (FL) linebacker Tarvos ‘T.J.’ Alford was back in Florida making his commitment to Ohio State.
Ohio State had been considered the favorite in recent months for the athletic linebacker prospect and on Saturday evening he made his decision public, choosing the Buckeyes over Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL) and many others, giving the program its second major recruiting win in as many days.
Alford is commitment No. 9 for Ohio State in the 2025 recruiting class and the second linebacker to give the Buckeyes his pledge, joining Ohioan Eli Lee.
Eight of Ohio State’s nine commitments, including Alford, in the 2025 recruiting class are ranked as a Top 100 prospect by at least one of the major recruiting services.
