Ohio State safety Josh Proctor is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent per Eleven Warriors.
Proctor was a sixth-year senior last year for the Buckeyes and is one of just three Ohio State players who are five-time letterwinners (teammates Matt Jones, Xavier Johnson).
Last year was Proctor’s first as a full-time starter, though it was the fourth-consecutive season in which he started at least one game.
Proctor posted 47 tackles last season with four tackles for loss, nine passes broken up, and one interception — which he returned for a touchdown. He was named Third-Team All-Big Ten last season.
Proctor played in 53 games in his Ohio State career, starting 20 times. He finished with 112 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions.
The Buckeyes opened the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons with Proctor as a starting safety. He was injured in the second game of the 2021 season and lost for the year with a broken leg. He was eventually replaced in the starting lineup in 2022, but was a consistent performer last season in his final go-round as a Buckeye.
