Ohio State offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi is headed to the transfer portal per a report from On3 Sports. Vimahi was in his sixth year with the Buckeyes.
A 2019 signee out of Kahuku, Hawaii, Vimahi was ranked the No. 124 player in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 7 offensive guard in the nation.
Vimahi has been a reserve lineman for the Buckeyes, but has earned a start each of the past two seasons. He started the Cotton Bowl last season and the Michigan game in 2022.
He was quickly replaced in the Michigan game, playing just 16 snaps. His 57 snaps in the Cotton Bowl were almost triple his previous high in snaps in a game (23).
Vimahi played in 38 games in his Ohio State career.
This spring, he was working with the third-team during practice, putting him behind second-year players Luke Montgomery and Austin Siereveld, as well as third-year players Carson Hinzman and Tegra Tshabola.
Ohio State spent spring ball looking for a starter at right guard. Montgomery spent most of camp with the ones, but Hinzman and Tshabola both spent time there as well. Hinzman got the start at right guard in the spring game.
Vimahi has one year of eligibility remaining.
