To the surprise of absolutely nobody, this year’s game between Michigan and Ohio State set for Saturday November 30 will air on FOX and kick off at 12:00 pm Eastern.
The television and cable networks announced a small handful of kickoff times on Monday for some of the biggest college football games this upcoming season, but so far the noon matchup between OSU and UM is the only kickoff time set for the Buckeyes.
Michigan has won three matchups in a row, but they will be coming to Columbus with a new head coach. Sherrone Moore takes over for Jim Harbaugh, who left for the NFL, and also left Moore with three years of NCAA probation and an ongoing investigation into a multi-year cheating scandal.
The Wolverines are the defending national champions, but must replace most of their starters — including quarterback JJ McCarthy and running back Blake Corum. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, return the bulk of their starters, and also added some key pieces out of the transfer portal.
Game times for some of Ohio State’s other big games — such as the October 12 matchup at Oregon and the November 2 game at Penn State — could be announced in a couple of weeks.
Also, a final location for Ohio State’s trip to Northwestern is still waiting to be confirmed. Due to ongoing construction at NU’s Ryan Field, the Wildcats are expected to play most of their home games at their practice facility, utilizing temporary seating.
Other games — such as the one against Ohio State — will likely be looking for larger venues in order to capitalize on the expected gate. The Buckeyes and Wildcats are expected to play at Wrigley Field, but that has not yet been announced. Northwestern hosted Iowa at Wrigley last year and Purdue back in 2021.
