The Ohio State Buckeyes are three practices into their 2024 fall camp schedule, and there has been a lot to see around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center already.
Ryan Day’s sixth season as the Buckeyes’ head coach opens with sky-high expectations and a lot of excitement around Columbus. OSU enters fall camp with a veteran team, and only a handful of positional battles still being fought.
The most high-profile is at quarterback where Will Howard, Devin Brown, Lincoln Kienholz, Julian Sayin, and Air Noland all split snaps during the first week, but Day said he is hoping to be able to name a starter for the season in the next week or so.
True freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith has been one of the big storylines already, as his big-play ability has him in line to start from day one.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jim Knowles enters his third season in Columbus with a veteran unit, which also added star transfer safety Caleb Downs.
