Elite QB Target Brady Edmunds Continues to be Impressed by Ohio State

Ohio State does not yet have a commitment at the quarterback position for the 2026 recruiting class but that hasn’t deterred the Buckeyes from going all-in on class of 2027 star Brady Edmunds.

The Huntington Beach (CA) star has made multiple visits to Ohio State already, with the latest coming over the weekend as the Buckeyes defeated Iowa 35-7 in their Big Ten home opener.

“It was awesome,” said Edmunds of the game day atmosphere. “It was everything that I expected, and more. The offense looked legit in the second half. The Skull Session was awesome, really sums up the culture at Ohio State.”

While Edmunds has the full attention of the Ohio State staff, the feeling is mutual. The Buckeyes are a prime contender for the strong-armed quarterback prospect from the West Coast.

“Coach Day and Coach Kelly definitely play a big role in my interest,” Edmunds explained. “As well as the culture. OSU is very unique.”

The relationships with Day and Kelly, and the potential opportunity to be coached by them at the next level is something that appeals to Edmunds.

“My relationship with them is great,” he continued. “I enjoy being around them and picking their great football minds. I feel like we have a lot in common and could work great together.”

There has been a lot of smoke around Edmunds and a potential early decision. Edmunds gave an update on where he’s at on the decision-making front.

“As of now I’m going to just focus on my season,” he said. “A decision will most likely come before the end of the year but after my season ends.”

Look for Ohio State to be among the finalists when that time comes.

“They’re definitely up there for me,” he continued. “When I decide I’m ready to make my decision, Ohio State will 100% be in the discussion.”
