EUGENE, OR — The Buckeyes are expected to be at full strength for Saturday’s game against the Oregon Ducks.
Ohio State has released its injury report and the only player listed is walk-on running back TC Caffey who is out for the season with a knee injury.
Starting receiver Carnell Tate missed last week’s game, but earlier in the week head coach Ryan Day remarked that Tate was back practicing and would be good to go.
Tate has 14 receptions and 219 yards receiving in four games with one touchdown. He ranks third on the team in each category.
What do the Buckeyes get back with him on the field?
“Well, Carnell is certainly very, very talented,” Day said on Wednesday. “But to me again, he’s very intelligent, he works really hard. He’s a really good blocker.
When the ball’s not in his hands, he does a great job. But he’s a very good route runner, good downfield, good underneath. Right off the catch, he’s been excellent. So first off, it’s the production. Second thing, it’s his leadership. He’s a leader, even for a young player. And so it’s great to have him back.”
The Buckeyes arrived in Eugene on Friday and everybody that was expected to make the trip, did.
You can see the team checking into their hotel in the video below.
Oregon has not yet released its injury list. There have been reports of star defensive end Jordan Burch suffering an injury in practice this week. The severity of that injury has fluctuated.
