COLUMBUS — There are no new injuries listed on Ohio State’s availability report this week, meaning the Buckeyes are expected to take the field against Michigan (6-5) with the same players who saw the field in last week’s win over No. 5 Indiana.
In fact, this week’s availability report is identical to last week’s.
The No. 2 Buckeyes (10-1) will once again be without starting center Seth McLaughlin, who tore his Achilles tendon prior to last week’s game. McLaughlin will be one of 32 players who will be honored before the game during Ohio State’s Senior Day festivities.
With McLaughlin out, redshirt sophomore Carson Hinzman will be in the lineup for his 14th career start at center. At left guard will be redshirt freshman Austin Siereveld for his fourth career start.
This will also be the second game back for redshirt junior tight end Will Kacmarek, who was lost for more than a month following an arm injury at Oregon.
If the Buckeyes win today, they will play No. 1 Oregon in the Big Ten Championship Game next Saturday night in Indianapolis.
