The NCAA football transfer portal opened up on Monday and the Buckeyes are expected to be active over the next few weeks, especially along the offensive line.
Ohio State has already reached out to Northwestern transfer Josh Thompson and Thompson will make a visit to Columbus later this week.
“Yes sir,” Thompson confirmed to BuckeyeHuddle.com. “I’ll be heading down on Friday.”
Thompson has played both guard and tackle at Northwestern over the past few seasons, logging 21 starts. He was an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection this past season.
Thompson was rated a three-star prospect coming out of high school in Fenton, Michigan. He is a grad-transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.
Stay tuned to BuckeyeHuddle.com for continued coverage of Ohio State’s activity in the transfer portal.
