The 2026 recruiting cycle is about to take center stage and one of the big questions is what will happen at the quarterback position. Ohio State signed a five-star quarterback in Tavien St. Clair in the 2025 cycle and has a commitment from a potential five-star signal caller in 2027 in California star Brady Edmunds.
But that won’t stop the Buckeyes from pursuing big-time options in the 2026 class. We dive into three potential targets for Ohio State’s QB search, provide the latest on all three, and assess what the most realistic outcome for the Buckeyes might be.
The Buckeyes also found out on Sunday that they will need to replace defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Some thoughts on that search, and the possibility of it ending in an in-house hire are also shared.
