Ryan Day has decided on the new defensive coordinator to replace the departed Jim Knowles, and it’s Matt Patricia, who served in the same position under Bill Belichick with the New England Patriots, and also as the head coach of the Detroit Lions. 

The news set off an immediate reaction, both strongly positive and strongly negative from different segments of the Buckeye fanbase and the football world in general.
