CJ Sanna Staying Home With The Buckeyes

The Buckeyes hot streak on the recruiting trail continues as attention turned back to the state of Ohio with the commitment of class of 2026 linebacker C.J. Sanna out of Olentangy high school.

This commitment doesn’t really come as a surprise as Sanna grew up just in the shadow of Ohio Stadium and has been a frequent visitor to the Ohio State campus.

Sanna checks in at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds and is currently ranked as a three-star by most of the recruiting services.

The new Ohio State commitment had more than two-dozen offers including ones from the Big Ten, Big 12 and the ACC.

This is all on the heels of Ohio State landing Simeon Caldwell and Blaine Bradford, really loading up a big week on the trail.

Sanna attends the same school as Kaden Gebhardt, an Ohio State target who ultimately committed to Clemson. Obviously, it did not impact Sanna’s decision to stay home.

This marks the 10th commitment for the Buckeyes and five of them have come from the state of Ohio, including Sam Greer, Max Riley, Jakob Weatherspoon, Jaeden Ricketts and now Sanna.

This weekend is shaping up to be a big weekend for the Buckeyes as they open the WHAC for Student Appreciation Practice and a big recruiting weekend as well.
