He was selected by Lions with the 28th pick of the first round in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Williams posted 46 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks in 2024, earning Third-Team All-Big Ten honors. Williams was a Second-Team honoree in 2023 following a season where he posted 53 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks in 13 games. He earned Honorable Mention notice as a freshman and sophomore.
As a senior, Williams anchored the best defense in the nation, as the Buckeyes finished first in scoring defense and total defense. Williams played in 51 games, starting 25 times.
He finished his career with 136 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 11.5 quarterback sacks.
Tyleik Williams is the first Buckeye defensive tackle selected in the first round since Ryan Pickett went 29th overall to the Rams in 2001.
