Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka has been selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 19th pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Egbuka is now the fifth receiver from the Buckeyes’ 2021 team to be selected in the first round. He joins Garrett Wilson (10th, 2022), Chris Olave (11th, 2022), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (20th, 2023), and Marvin Harrison, Jr. (4th, 2024). Jameson Williams, who transferred from Ohio State following spring practice in 2021, was drafted 12th overall in 2022.
As a senior in 2024, Egbuka led the Buckeyes with 81 catches and was second with 1,011 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.
Egbuka leaves Ohio State as the school’s all-time leading receiver with 205 receptions, and is second in receiving yardage (2,868). He joined Harrison as the only two Buckeyes with multiple 1,000-yard seasons.
He finished his career by catching at least one pass in 40 consecutive games.
Egbuka is the ninth Ohio State receiver to be selected in the first round of an NFL Draft over the past 25 years.
