The Buckeyes have landed a commitment from Ball State transfer kicker Jackson Courville.
Courville announced his commitment via social media.
Originally from Centerville High School in Ohio, Courville has been a two-year starter for the Cardinals. Last year as a sophomore, he made 11-of-13 field goals, including a 52-yard game winner as time expired against Northern Illinois.
As a true freshman in 2023, Courville opened the season as Ball State’s starting kicker. He made 15-of-21 field goal attempts and was 12-of-13 on attempts inside 40 yards. Four of his misses as a freshman were from beyond 50 yards.
As a sophomore last year, Courville missed a 38-yard attempt in the season opener against Missouri State, but his only other miss that year came on a blocked kick.

Jackson Courville will now enter into a kicking competition with Jayden Fielding, who has been the Buckeyes’ top kicker the past two seasons. Fielding was 13-of-17 on field goals last year and 16-of-20 in 2023.
