In an effort to keep Ohio Stadium as modern and profitable as possible, Ohio State has announced plans to bring suites and “premium seating” to the stands in the south end zone in time for the 2026 season.
The plans feature nine suites with 12-person capacities that will be located in front of the south stands. There will then be 400 premium chairback seats placed atop the suites. The seats will feature “the widest chairback seats in the stadium.”
The new premium seats in the south end zone are priced at $6,000 and will also include full admission to the brand new 1922 Club featuring all-inclusive food and drinks opportunities before, during and after the game. The members-only club inside of Ohio Stadium is set to open prior to the 2026 season.

“We’re proud to introduce a premium seating area on the field level in the south end zone of Ohio Stadium – an investment that reflects our deep commitment to enhancing the fan experience,” Ohio State Athletics Director Ross Bjork said in the university’s release. “This addition is designed for passionate members of Buckeye Nation, bringing greater comfort, improved access to the field level, and a wider range of seating options to better serve even more fans.
“It also marks a small key step in the ongoing modernization of Ohio Stadium – ensuring this iconic and wonderful venue continues to evolve while honoring the traditions that makes it so special. We’re dedicated to making every visit to the ’Shoe unforgettable, and this enhancement is another meaningful stride toward delivering the best possible game day experience.”
Deposits for the 400 premium seats are now being accepted at this link, and fans will have until June 27, 2025 to reserve their seats. (Note: If demand exceeds supply, the donor level & priority point system will be used.)
Costs for the suites themselves will be made known at a later date.
The Ohio State University Marching Band — which has occupied the south stands for many years — will move back to the north end zone, which is where they were seated prior to 2001.
