Ohio State is officially on the board in the 2028 class after the Buckeyes received a commitment from big-time Tampa (Fla.) Blake running back Elijah Hall on Friday morning.
The 6-foot, 200-pound prospect was one of the stars of this week’s round of one-day camps at Ohio State and Hall wasted little time in picking the Buckeyes coming out of his visit.
Hall chose the Buckeyes over early offers from Florida State, Miami (FL), and others.
Hall’s commitment comes at an interesting time for the Buckeyes as they chase a couple of five-star talents at the running back position in the 2026 class in Florida star Derrek Cooper and Virginia’s Savion Hiter. Ohio State was able to secure the verbal pledge of top in-state target Favour Akih at the beginning of the week.
The Buckeyes do not have a class of 2027 running back commitment at the moment. Chattanooga (TN) Baylor School star David Gabriel Georges is believed to be the top early target in that cycle.
Hall is not yet ranked by any of the major recruiting services, however the belief is that he is going to be one of the top running back prospects in his class.
Stay tuned to BuckeyeHuddle.com for more recruiting coverage as the Buckeyes get ready to host a massive group of official visitors as more fireworks could be on the way soon.
