Big Ten 2025 Media Days Viewing Primer

LAS VEGAS — The 2025 Big Ten Media Days kick off today from the well-known Big Ten stomping grounds of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first of three days of conference coaches, players, and commissioner Tony Petitti himself talking Big Ten football and the college game at large begins at 2:00 pm Eastern.

Petitti will be at the microphone for 30 minutes, extolling the virtues of the Big Ten and the Big Ten’s television partners, while also answering questions about the state of the game overall.

Following Petitti, the six Big Ten coaches on tap for Tuesday will all take a turn at the podium answering questions — or filibustering — for 15 minutes.

First up will be Illinois head coach Bret Bielema, then Rutgers’ Greg Schiano, followed by Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti. Maryland’s Mike Locksley follows Cignetti, then Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and Ohio State head coach Ryan Day round out the afternoon.

Day is scheduled to speak at 3:45 Eastern.

All of these sessions will be carried by the Big Ten Network.

Following that session, the coaches and players then begin their respective turns with television, radio, and “print” media.

Ryan Day’s 45-minute session away from television begins at 5:00 pm. Ohio State players Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs, and Jeremiah Smith will take part in their 30-minute individual interview sessions at 6:15. Those will not be aired, but players will be pulled aside throughout the day to appear on BTN.

All four of those videos will be available at youtube.com/buckeyehuddle shortly afterward.

Wednesday’s session begins at 2:30 pm Eastern with Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck. He will be followed by Northwestern’s David Braun, then Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning follows Fickell, then Washington’s Jedd Fisch and Penn State’s James Franklin close out the head coach portion of the day.

Thursday is the third and final day of the outing. Like the other two days, the talking gets started at 2:30 pm Eastern. Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz opens the show, followed by Purdue’s Barry Odom and UCLA’s Deshaun Foster. Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith is then followed by USC’s Lincoln Riley and Michigan’s Sherrone Moore.

Buckeye Huddle will have live reports, writeups, video, and more from Las Vegas for the next three days.
