The Buckeyes won’t hit the road in 2024 until the fifth week of the season, when they head to East Lansing to take on Michigan State in their Big Ten opener.
Two weeks later they’ll be in Eugene, Oregon for their first conference game against one of the four newest members of the Big Ten. In between those games, the Buckeyes will host Iowa on October 5.
Ohio State only plays four road games next year, with a November 2 trip to Penn State, and a Nov. 16 game at Northwestern filling out their road schedule.
The non-conference dates have been previously announced, with OSU hosting Southern Mississippi (Aug. 31), Western Michigan (Sept. 7), and Marshall (Sept. 21) before any conference play begins.
There will be two open weeks in 2024, but they come relatively early for the Buckeyes. Ohio State will play their final six regular season games without a break.
Ohio State will have an off week after the trip to Oregon, giving them an extra week to recover before hosting Nebraska on Oct. 26. Following the Penn State game, the Buckeyes will host Purdue on Nov. 9. After the Nov. 16 game at Northwestern, Ohio State will host Indiana in the week prior to the game against Michigan in Ohio Stadium.
Kickoff times will be announced next year, though you can continue to expect the Michigan game to be a 12:00 pm kickoff.
