One of the key pieces to the offensive side of the ball in Ohio State’s 2024 recruiting class has officially signed. Top 100 running back James Peoples out of San Antonio (Texas) Veterans Memorial was one of the early commitments that kick-started a big-time spring and summer recruiting run.
The 5-foot-10 195-pound initially chose Ohio State over Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas with his family ties to the Cleveland (Ohio) area winning out. Peoples will enter an Ohio State running backs room that will provide the opportunity for early playing time.
The Buckeyes have seen two running backs transfer out of the program this month, Miyan Williams head to the NFL draft, and are still waiting on the decision from TreVeyon Henderson. The opportunity is there for Peoples to make an early impact in Columbus.
In this recruiting capsule, we break down Peoples’ game, his importance to the class and assess his odds to see the field as a freshman at Ohio State.
