Signing Day is off and running with several players already getting their Letters of Intent sent in to Ohio State. One of the first to do so this morning was Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive lineman Devontae Armstrong.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect played an integral role in the last two St. Edward state championship teams and will bring three state championship rings with him to Columbus.
Rated a high three-star prospect, Armstrong also played a key role in helping build Ohio State’s 2024 recruiting class. Along with his twin brother, Deontae, Armstrong was constantly around campus after issuing an early verbal commitment to the Buckeyes.
Whether it was making other recruits feel comfortable, working on the recruiting effort with the coaching staff, or simply ingraining himself into the ‘Slobs’ culture, Armstrong has felt like a true Buckeye for quite a while but it’s now official with his signature on his Letter of Intent.
Below, we take a look at what the Buckeyes are getting and what type of room Armstrong is walking into in Columbus as our Class of 2024 Recruiting Capsule Series continues.
