For several months now, Ohio State’s top tight end target in the 2025 class has been Washington (OK) tight end Nate Roberts. On Monday, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect released his top five and the Buckeyes, as expected, made the cut.
Ohio State joins Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, and Ole Miss among Roberts’ top schools. The former Notre Dame pledge has largely been considered an Ohio State vs. Oklahoma battle in recent months but Oregon has also been making a strong push for the four-star prospect.
Roberts has made multiple unofficial visits to Ohio State in recent months, including once for a game and then again for the big Junior Day in January. He is already scheduled to visit Ohio State again in April for the weekend of the annual Spring Game.
Roberts is rated the No. 5 tight end in the 2025 recruiting class by the 247Composite, the No. 2 player in Oklahoma, and the No. 118 overall prospect in the nation.
