Ohio State is still searching for answers at the running back position in what should be a two-back class of the Buckeyes in 2025. Cleveland (Ohio) Villa-Angela St. Joseph star Bo Jackson has been at the top of Ryan Day’s wish list for a long time now and Jackson made his much anticipated official visit this weekend.
Jackson has been no stranger to Columbus over the past two years, but it was another positive trip as the Buckeyes try to secure late momentum heading into what is expected to be a June or July decision.
“Great weekend for me and my family, ” Jackson said. “Spending time with coaches Day, Kelly, and Locklyn were great but the real highlight with both trips so far was hanging with current players around campus.”
Jackson was able to spend a lot of time with current Ohio State players on this latest visit as he continues to build strong relationships with many key figures around the football program.
“Sam (Williams-Dixon) hosted me and he loves being (at Ohio State) and I had a fantastic time with JT, he hosted a big event at his house,” Jackson recalled.
The message from Ohio State at this point is simple, the Buckeyes want Jackson in this class.
“(Ohio State’s message) was just that the coaches wanted me to know that I was a priority and how important I am for them in the 2025 class,” he added.
Jackson has already made an official visit to Georgia and is taking his third, and what is expected to be final, official visit to Alabama on June 7th.
“The Georgia visit was amazing, the Ohio State visit was amazing and I can’t wait to do the Alabama visit,” he said. “I’m just going in to all (of the visits) open with no expectations, absorbing as much info as possible.”
