Four-Star Offensive Lineman Jayvon McFadden Commits to Ohio State

Offensive line recruiting has been in the headlines quite a bit in recent weeks and the Buckeyes received some needed good news on that front on Saturday afternoon with the commitment of four-star Upper Marlboro (MD) Riverdale Baptist product Jayvon McFadden.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect chose Ohio State over Colorado, Maryland, and South Carolina, become the third offensive lineman to join the 2025 Ohio State recruiting class.

McFadden’s commitment comes on the heels of Ohio State losing out in the David Sanders Jr. sweepstakes. While McFadden is rated by most services as an interior lineman, and may very well end up at guard in Columbus, there remains the possibility that McFadden could get a look at tackle when he arrives at Ohio State.

Ohio State will be looking to add at least one more offensive lineman to its 2025 recruiting class, but McFadden’s commitment is a big one for the Buckeyes who have been recruited the powerful prospect for more than a year.
