EUGENE, Ore. — The Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks played an instant classic of a football game Saturday night, in a game that ended with the Buckeyes narrowly missing a chance to kick a game-winning field goal.
The game showcased the promise and excitement of the new 18-team Big Ten conference, and could likely just be the first of multiple matchups between Ryan Day and Dan Lanning’s teams this season.
