Ohio State Offensive Lineman Miles Walker Transferring

COLUMBUS — Ohio State redshirt freshman offensive lineman Miles Walker is entering the transfer portal.

Walker has not played a snap for the Buckeyes in his two seasons. His true freshman year was spent dealing with an injury.

Walker signed with the Buckeyes out of the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut where he was a three-star prospect. He also held offers from the likes of Texas A&M, Duke, Vanderbilt, Iowa, and others.

The depth chart had never been forgiving to Walker, who was generally battling for third or fourth on the depth chart at right tackle.

The Buckeyes have now had five players announce their intentions to transfer. On Sunday, backup quarterback Devin Brown broke the news that he would be leaving after this season. Receivers Jayden Ballard and Kojo Antwi have also indicated their intentions to enter the portal. Redshirt sophomore linebacker Gabe Powers has done the same.

The transfer portal opened on Monday. Whether or not any Buckeye other than Devin Brown will remain with the team during the playoffs will be handled on a case-by-case basis according to head coach Ryan Day.
