Ohio State has added another option in the paint with the news that Baylor center Josh Ojianwuna (6-10 230) has committed to the Buckeyes.
Ojianwuna made a recruiting visit to Ohio State this past weekend and decided Columbus was where he needed to be.
As a true junior last season, Ojianwuna started the first 23 games for the Bears before suffering a season-ending knee injury. The recovery from that knee injury could impact the first half of the season for Ojianwuna this year.
In those 23 games last season, Ojianwuna scored 7.4 points per game and averaged 6.4 rebounds per game. It was his first year as a starter for Baylor. He also shot .774 from the field, though the vast majority of those shot attempts occurred around the rim.
His season highs last year were 16 points and 17 rebounds. He is an occasional shot-blocking presence as well, averaging nearly a block per game last year.

Ojianwuna is the fourth transfer brought in by head coach Jake Diebler for the 2025-2026 season. He joins Wright State power forward Brandon Noel (6-8 240), Santa Clara center Christoph Tilly (7-0 240), and Indiana guard Gabe Cupps (6-1 165).
