Peter Pierre Continuing the Great Legacy of South Florida Receivers

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Ohio State has been very selective in giving out early offers to the class of 2028 but South Florida receiver Peter Pierre has been one of the few exceptions. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect hails from powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna, the same program that produced Ohio State star Jeremiah Smith.

Pierre’s size and hands make him an incredibly intriguing prospect and a player that is already highly coveted.

“It’s a great feeling,” Pierre said of the early offers. “I’m excited and just ready to compete.”

The Ohio State offer is one that immediately jumped out to Pierre and his family.

“It hit hard,” he said. “I was very excited. My mom, my family (were very excited), got a couple of laps around the neighborhood, it was very fun.”

The production of the Ohio State wide receiver room is a big draw for Pierre.

“I really like their receiver corps,” he explained. “They’ve been producing NFL products. A guy that just came through Chaminade, Jeremiah Smith, you know, a bunch of big names coming out of South Florida and going to Ohio State and ballin’.”

Pierre will bring his talents to Columbus in June when he intends to come up for an Ohio State one-day camp. He’ll be joined by fellow class of 2028 star, Miami Northwestern quarterback Neimann Lawrence.

“I’m coming up for a camp,” Pierre explained. “Just so they can see me, see how I’m doing, look at my routes.”
